Pros: Convenient, ease of use, no switching of loads, space, water and energy saving.
Cons: Drum too small, noisy drain pump, clothes come out wrinkled, forever to get repaired.
The Bottom Line: Great for an elderly person that washes once or twice a week or if you have limited space.

I purchased my unit in September 2001. For the first month I thought it was the greatest thing invented. However, over the past few months my opinion has changed to quite the opposite.
It does a great job washing the clothes and is so easy to use. You add your clothes, close the door, add your detergent, bleach, fabric softener, set the machine and that's it. Now you just wait for the machine to finish processing your clothes. Great concept!
However, the drum is rather small compared to other front loaders and has a very noisy drain pump. Due to the small drum you end up doing more loads than you would with a regular size front loader, and accidental overloading causes major wrinkles in clothes during drying cycle.
In January the unit started to leak and I had to call service. Since the parts are 2 times as expensive as regular washers they're not kept in stock and need to be ordered which increases your down time with the unit. It took until mid-February to replace the part!! There just aren't enough qualified repair people for these machines as the first fix didn't repair the unit and it's still leaking. The day after the fix I did laundry, the unit leaked and did damage to my landlord's ceiling. It's been 4 weeks and it still isn't fixed and was told it will be another week before the parts come in.
So, if you're interested in purchasing this unit, check through Equator to see if there are any repair companies in your area. The unit isn't as sturdy as you may think. I wish I knew about the durability and lack of repair companies (only 1 in my area) beforehand as I would not have purchased it.
I ordered a new front loader and dryer today, this unit is going in the basement tonight.
