Mariannon's Full Review: Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition fo...
I've never really been a fan of Pokemon much, in spite of having a Pokemon-mad little sister. I had picked up the basics after being forced to sit through hours of the TV programme.
This summer, my mother decided to invest in a Gameboy colour for my sister, along with Pokemon Yellow. Since we had a couple of weeks before we gave it to her, and I was sitting around bored one day, I decided to give it a try.
And I was addicted. I spent 26 hours playing it in the first week (I'm not that sad I timed myself, it told me on the game, OK?). Trying time after time to catch the rare Pokemon was my only goal. And of course I had the cutest Pokemon of all (Pikachu of course) right by my side from the beginning. I actually got sad when he fainted. That's how involved in the game I was. I dreamed about catching Pokemon. I ate, slept and breathed Pokemon.
So when it was time to give it to my sister, I didn't want to :(
But I did, and now I'm addicted to Pokemon and Pikachu especially. I don't miss a show, and I love anything Pikachu.
So even if you have never even seen Pokemon before, this game may still interest you. However, it sticks pretty close to the original story.
