| FatEsty's Full Review: Comcast |
I know one of Comcast's reps, and she says they are told to lie, play dumb, and misrepresent the contract all the way to when you sign up - and if they don't, they will be fired by the supervisor monitoring the calls. Even on the chat line (in writing) they will lie and promise you everything, but when you get the bill - it's completely different. She recommends saving your chat by using 'screen capture' and taking a picture of it, so at least you have something to argue with (good luck). She's says that the bottomline is that they know they have you once you sign-up, and you're just screwed. You can spend hours on the phone and get nowhere - and probably will. The supervisors have a quota that they have to fill, and will do anything to fill it. I know she wants to quit because of what she heard last week. A woman called because her bill was triple what it should have been, and even though she was crying after they told her it would affect her credit if she didn't pay immediately, they just handed her off from one rep to another playing 'hot potato' (as they call it) with her for an hour. She said she was on a 'pay-as-you-go' phone too, which meant she was paying to be messed with (pretty mean). Personally, I think that all utilities should be held more accountable.
