| pbhiii's Full Review: Sony Walkman MZ-EP11 Personal MiniDisc Player |
I bought both the portable sony player and the Aiwa boombox, both of which meet my expectations. The Sony portable is easy to use and produces as good of a sound as you can get from a pair of headphones. The best things about minidiscs are that they almost never skip and unlike CD's, you can't scratch them. One problem with the minidisc player is that to make it so compact, it only runs off of one AA battery which dies rather quickly. It would be convienient to have a portable recordable minidisc, but I do not think it is worth the extra $200, especially with the home unit.
