| darkw0lf's Full Review: Infinity BU-80 Subwoofer Speaker |
The Infinity line of speakers is known for great sound and superior craftsmanship, and they make the reason for that apparent in the BU series. If you are tired of seeing, and only seeing, what you believed should have been an event that triggered a powerful, deep, rumbling wave of bass, here is what you need. These powered subs will add that extra depth of bass that you can hear, and feel. With an adjustable frequency pickup, you can determine at what level the sub picks up, and also it has a volume right on the unit. This allows you to have complete control over the amount of bass you get, and when.
Another nice feature is the auto-off. When the unit has not done anything for several minutes it goes into a 'sleep mode'. This lets you keep the speaker at the ready, and keeps you from having to reach around behind the unit to turn it on and off.
Placed in a corner or near a wall, this unit provides all the bass you could ever need for a normal home system. Whether you are listening to Beethoven's 5th, or want to feel the White House explode in Independence Day, this speaker will provide you with an unbeatable audio sensation for this price range. If you are a bass freak, or have a really large room, you may want to move to a larger model, though.
I don't really have any complaints on this speaker. It has provided me with exactly what I was expecting; it is solidly built, and has multiple methods for hookup.
