Pros: Cheap, good print quality and usually efficient. Not to mention small.
Cons: Nothing major.
The Bottom Line: If you need a printer and don't have a lot of space or cash, get the Canon BJC-1000. You would'nt regret it.

| onic's Full Review: Canon BJC 1000 InkJet Printer |
I bought my canon BJC-1000 about two years ago and I have not had any major problems with it until recently when the cartridge detection mechanism stopped working. Unfortunately, I could not get it fixed by the Canon authorised service centre in Guyana and Canon technical support could not give any advise.
Throught this time, it upon occasion had some problems with cartridge detection, where it would detect my black or even colour cartridge as being a photo cartridge.
On the good side, it gave a very good quality print for an inkjet (bubble jet) on both black and coloured documents. The ink usage manager allowed me to be able to economise on my ink usage and allowed a colour cartridge to last almost five hundred sheets instead of the hundred written in the manual. On the manual, it is very concise and easy to use. You don't have to be a technician or a techie to follow.
