I recently ordered Carlson Craft "From the Heart" wedding invitations from Daisy-Days.com. After realizing that the red heart on the invitation cover was actually the peek of color resulting from weaving the ribbon of your color choice under the embossed design, I knew it would be beautiful for any color scheme chosen by the bride.
The invitation wording is easily selected from a variety of pre-designed choices or may be customized. A large selection of fonts was also available for selection, although I loved the combination pictured which is CBP/ENS (thanks to Sarah at Daisy-Days for her help in correctly ordering that combination!). It is a good idea to spend the $10 on proofs, because that is when I found out the combination font style had not been correctly selected by me. The communication with Daisy-Days could not have been better---they verify the order and ship with amazing speed. My invitations arrived before confirmation of shipment was even sent; it was that fast! (Word of caution---the order arrived in individual cardboard boxes within one large cardboard shipping box and UPS did not wait for signature upon delivery. This could be a problem if it had been delivered in rain or snow; have a plan for receiving the package. My shipment arrived three days from confirmation of my order.)
The invitations require folding and threading of the ribbon, then tying the knot. Although there are no directions, it is clear how to fold the invitations. The tricky part is finding the slit in the fold opposite the inside printed page through which you need to thread the ribbon. If you don't see it, you will tie the invitation closed, rather than decoratively tie the front folded section where the RSVP and reception folder can be tucked behind the ribbon.
The invitation ordering information stated that extra postage is required. My invitations were going to be mailed with the invitation, RSVP card; Lined inner envelope, and mailing envelope. What I imagined was getting the wedding stamp for $ .61 from the post office, but the size (5-7/8" square) and the lump from the ribbon knot require special handling, so there is a $ .20 surcharge in addition to the $ .61 extra postage due to weight. Stamps.com was the solution to that problem; I ordered photo stamps with $ .81 postage (Zazzle.com does not offer that denomination).
The invitations have not even been mailed, and I'm getting compliments from family. My sister, a graphic artist, seemed skeptical when I said I was ordering them online, but after seeing them she loved them and thought the quality was excellent. We have all said that they look even prettier than the photo representation.
I would definitely recommend the wonderful customer service of Daisy-Days!
