I've had my eye on this Wilton Cupcake 'N More Dessert Stand 307-826 for a few months now, ever since I've seen it in our AC Moore Craft store. So I was pleasantly surprised when I received it from my grand son on Christmas.
I couldn't wait to try it out, so for New Year's Eve I decided to make some cupcakes. I used a boxed confetti cake mix and made my cupcakes. My husband and I were planning on staying home for New Year's Eve, as we were baby sitting our 3 grand daughters while my son and his wife went out to celebrate New Years Eve.
That nite I decided to have a small special New Years Eve party for the girls. I asked them what they wanted to have, and they said pizza and dips. So we ordered out for some pizza and I made fresh veggies and a Ranch dressing for dipping. I also made them a fruit punch, and of course my cupcakes also.
FEATURES OF THE WILTON CUPCAKE 'N MORE DESSERT STAND:
The Stand measures 12 inches high by 13 inches wide.
The stand is made of a nice bright metal silver finish.
There are 4 tiers that graduate in size which have 23 spiral cupcake holders.
The first tier has 10 cupcake holders.
The second tier has 8 holders.
The third tier has 4 holders.
The top tier has 1 holder.
THE DESIGN:
The Dessert Stand has a Twisting Spiral tower design to it. Very elegant looking. Each spiral cupcake holder is angled down some, so the frosting on the cupcakes can easily be seen at any angle.
The cupcake holders are wire spirals, which make the towering design perfect for any kind of setting.
On the bottom of the stand there are 5 sturdy spiral silver finished metal legs that holds the 4 tiers up.
ASSEMBLING THE DESSERT STAND:
Assembling the Dessert Stand was very easy. It comes with 3 rods that are inserted into the center of each of the tiers. In fact it was so easy to assemble, that I didn't even have to look at the directions on the box for assembling the stand.
When I made the cupcakes I baked them in gold and silver cupcake liners. After I placed all of the cupcakes in the spiral holders on the dessert stand, I was a little concerned. I wondered if some of the cupcakes were taken off to eat, and there were more cupcakes on one side of the stand then the other side of the stand, would the stand become unbalanced and tip over.
So I took off half of the cupcakes from one side of the stand just to check and see how sturdy the tiered stand really was. The five sturdy legs on the stand were sturdy enough and the Dessert stand didn't topple over.
On New Year's Day we had the whole family over for dinner. I still had some cupcakes left in the Wilton Dessert Stand. I took my Pecan Cookie balls and placed them in double cupcake liners and placed them in the other empty holders on the stand. I also place 4 small Chocolate chip cookies in each cupcake paper liner also and placed them in the rest of the empty holders. By doubling the cupcake paper liners for the cookies it made the liners a little more sturdier to sit in each holder.
This Wilton Cupcake 'N More Dessert Stand can be used to display cupcakes and other treats as well as muffins, candy, brownies, along with cookies as well.
This Wilton Cupcake 'N More Dessert Stand is really quite nice looking, because of it's spiral tiered appearance. The silvered finish will add a nice touch to any kind of celebration from Showers, Birthdays, Weddings, Holidays or just for a family gathering.
Using the Wilton dessert stand will make entertaining easy, because everyone will be able to serve themselves. At the same time this Wilton Cupcake Dessert Stand will also make a nice presentation to any table.
If you have to bake for a bake sale, say at your children's school, or a Church Bazaar then this Wilton Dessert Stand would really dress up a bake sale table. By having your baked goods in an elevated Dessert Stand like this Wilton Stand, it makes baked goods look more attractive. And a attractive display will surely help to sell more baked goods at a bake sale.
CLEANING:
The silvered finish on the Wilton Cupcake Dessert Stand makes cleaning easy. After all of my cupcakes were eaten, I did find a few spiral holders that had some icing from the cupcakes on the holders. All I did was take a wet soapy sponge and the icing came right off with no problem at all. I also wiped the holder off with a a plain wet sponge.
STORAGE:
The Wilton Cupcake 'N More Dessert Stand comes apart very easily. Each tier can be then placed on top of one another for easy storage in a cabinet.
MY FINAL NOTE:
I love my Wilton Cupcake 'N More dessert Stand. I can't wait for Easter so I can display more goodies on this Twisting Spiral Tower Stand. Displaying your baked goodies in this Dessert stand will also keep your goodies looking great and easily accessible for any family members or special guests to enjoy. It's the easiest and most creative way to display desserts and cupcakes.
The Wilton Cupcake 'N More Dessert Stand is also just right for a casual gathering, yet elegant enough for any gourmet feast, and it's the perfect finishing touch for any Holiday meal.
