| kld718's Full Review: Tropicana Pure Premium Original Orange Juice 6 Pac... |
Orange juice has never been my favorite breakfast drink, I much prefer milk. Recently I decided to start drinking more orange juice but found that I needed something that I could transport better when going to work in the morning. Those big cartons or jugs just aren't useful to me because I am a eat on the run person more often than not. And I live alone and have no one else to feed; so keeping a large container of anything around is not economical for me.
Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice is 100% orange juice and not from concentrate. The package contains six 8-ounce containers of orange juice and each container has its own plastic wrapped mini straw. The straw is short upon first glance, but actually expands into a larger straw by pulling the two ends and clicking it in place. Then the straw is inserted into the perforated hole in the top of the carton. The straws are strong enough to be inserted into the holes without any problems. I usually purchase the Calcium + Vitamin D added, no pulp variety because my body needs the extra vitamins. I also don't like to drink the pulp, despite the better nutritional value in this variety. But during my last shopping experience I noted that the store I went to didn't carry this variety so I purchased the original product instead. The package also has a visible use by date to ensure the product is fresh. ~ Nutritional Facts ~ Calories: 110, Total Fat: 0g, Cholesterol: 0mg, Sodium: 0mg, Potassium: 450mg, Total Carbohydrates: 26g, Sugars: 22g, Protein: 2g Also contains: Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Calcium, Thiamin, Niacin, and Folic Acid ~ Ingredients ~ 100% Pure pasteurized orange juice, FruitCal (calcium hydroxide, malic acid, citric acid), beta-carotene, Vitamin E acetate, and Vitamin D3. Contains orange juice from the United States and Brazil. Each small container is an excellent source of vitamins and we all known orange juice provides great calcium. I like the smaller containers for reasons I have already mentioned above, but I also like them because they are more spill proof in the car or at my desk due to the carton design. The cartons are much better to use in the car than a regular cup that allows liquid to splash around. Another thing I liked about the Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice 6-pack is the fact that I can consume just the right amount of orange juice for me, without wasting any extra I might pour from a larger container. I tend to get indigestion if I drink too much orange juice, because I don't usually eat breakfast and it's just not good to drink on an empty stomach. These little cartons are the perfect size to help me manage the amount I drink and prevent the indigestion from occurring. These cartons are also good for kids and school lunch boxes, or snack time for daycare aged children.
The taste is awesome. I much prefer the freshness of Tropicana to any other brand I have tried. I have also found that the real orange taste is there, without being over processed or too acidic. And of course, I like to support the Florida juice growers. This product is actually available in a wide variety of sizes, so if your looking for something larger then you have a selection to choose from, depending on your needs. Tropicana products have been around since 1947, first starting out by selling fruit gift boxes so it's a trusted company that is known for the quality of juice it produces.
