| AParrothead's Full Review: T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Sets |
We bought this set at Sam's Wholesale Club last Christmas as a replacement to a set that I had since my bachelor days. Now that it has been three months, I am really wondering if the price tag of a $100 was worth the price.
Yes, the nonstick surface works great, so far nothing has stuck to the bottom of the pans. The lids all adjust to the pan size with grooves that are on the bottom of the lids. Okay, but when using the small pan, the lid is still over-sized. Have never used the three plastic covers that come with it so that you can store your food in them.
My biggest gripe is the removable handles. They scare me a little. When using the larger pans I pay very close attention to make sure that they stay in place, but I am sure that one of these days they will fall off, and boiling water will end up on my foot. It has not happened yet, but it is something to be aware of if you are considering this set. Those removable handles just do not seem very trustworthy to me.
Overall, however, I am pleased with the set, with the exception of the removable handles. The next set of T-Fal I buy will have permanent handles attached to them. Other than that the set is average for the cook.
