Pros: Sharp Picture, Price.
Cons: Quality of assembly/design - horrible squeaking noise.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. I got two lemons in a row. Are you willing to throw the dice to save a few hundred dollars?

| endlsssea's Full Review: Olevia LT26HVX 26 in. TV |
Other reviews list specifications & other trivia, so I'll get right down to the brass tacks.
I bought my Olevia 26" TV about a year ago. I was so happy over the price. It was a day-after-thanksgiving special at $350.
Then I got it home and out of the box. It made a horrible, constant rubbing/squeaking noise, so I took it back and exchanged it. The second one did exactly the same thing.
So.... I called Syntax and made use of the 1 year in-house warranty. Due to fine print, they told me I'd have to take the TV in to the regional service center. The regional service center is a 4-hour round trip drive from my home. I made the trip to drop of the TV and pick it up for service. It worked for about 2 weeks, then the horrible noise was back.
I wasn't willing to make the trip again, so I relegated it to a kids' room and bought a Sony for myself (which is still working perfectly). I'm very happy to say after a year of use, the Olevia's squeaking noise is finally gone again. For how long, I don't know.
The news isn't all bad. Olevia did some things very right. For the price, the picture quality is great. The 1600:1 contrast ratio meets or beats other models that sell for twice as much. That means the colors are sharp and clear, including the edges of images.
The remote is extremely easy to use, and we can tell some thought was put into the ergonomics of the thing - it fits nicely in my hand, and works for the kids, too.
We miss not having a TV timer, that turns the unit off after a certain period of time. That means if the kids fall asleep with the TV on, it's on till morning.
Would I buy Olevia again? Nope. The noise was too loud and too annoying. Maybe we got unlucky with two units in a row that did the same thing, but it has me convinced that anybody whose unit DOESN'T do it just got lucky.
