Great review, I got a lot out of it, when i played it for my first time I really was addicted, but I was playing in an arcade and I didn't have a lot of money. But I still got to level 6 on beginner on one try.

I've seen Super Monkey Ball described as a cross between Marble Madness and Mario Party. After reading your review, it appears that interesting combination of gameplay might actually hold true.
I'm ecstatic that Sega is supporting the GameCube. They're brand of whacky, arcadish cocaine should result in a perfect fit with Nintendo's world of infinitely playable "kiddy" games. While I'm not particularly excited about the GameCube, it could give my favorite game company a chance to right its many wrongs.
