I first tried this product a few years ago when it was brand new. I wasn't especially impressed with it back then but, when I saw a 2-for-1 pack in Target a few months ago, I decided to give St. Ives Whipped Silk moisturizer a second chance.

Scent
I tried Fresh Orchard Mist way back then and remember it as a pleasing and very light floral scent. I bought Pure White Silk this time around and, for something that is supposed to be 33% less-scented, it seemed to be a fairly strong and sweet fragrance.
Texture
This is a very light lotion--very similar to the body souffle products sold by upscale retailers. It is not greasy at all and absorbs rather quickly into skin. It isn't a huge effort to apply--you don't spend a lot of time trying to rub it in. You also won't need a towel to wipe your hands off after application. It's that light.
Okay but does it work?
A few dispenses from the pump and you're on your way to even and pleasantly-scented application. It feels very nice while you spread it on your skin. That just about where the positive things about this prouct stop. It is not moisturizing in the least. A few minutes after using Whipped Silk I can look at my arm or leg and it looks like lotion was never there. It may be an alright product for someone with oily skin or who uses an exceptionally-moisturizing body wash, but it is ineffective if you are looking for the "Intense Moisture" that the label promises.
