Pros: Very powerful, programmable, with almost infinite possibilities.
Cons: Not the original factory remote.
The Bottom Line: For a powerful, programmable universal remote, this is a great one.

Universal remotes are getting closer and closer to perfect. However, as they get closer, their price seems to keep going up and up. This one from Sony offers numerous programmable features, as well as macros to do what would have taken several different remotes and button pushes to accomplish before. And at a reasonable price. Almost perfect.
There are remotes now that you can program on your computer and then download to their docking station to save. That for me, was a bit much, so this was perfect. Besides the costs involved were outrageous for those remotes.
After reading the manual, and a bit of practice, I was able to set up all our remotes, and some macros. This does require some thought processes, and a bit of organization, but if you want to control everything remote-driven electronic gadget you have, then this is an affordable remote for you.
