We bought the Simmons Baby BeautyRest crib mattress to compliment the Simmons Crib 'n More set we bought from Babies 'R' Us. We've had this mattress for 4 years and it's one of the best purchases we've ever made.
IN THE BEGINNING
Having a bad back myself and not knowing when and if we would have additional children, I wanted a firm and supportive mattress that would last awhile and be a one be a one-time purchase. I've read that having a firm mattress protects against SIDS, so this mattress takes one more worry off your already stressed mind when you come home with your first baby!
IN THE MIDDLE
Our daughter, now four, slept on this for the first two years of her life. We flipped the mattress fanatically every month. It's light enough that my wife could do it by herself. Unfortunately, the mattress did develop an indentation. Because the mattress has a LIFETIME WARRANTY, we took it back to the store and without even having to show our purchase receipt or discuss the matter, they promptly gave us a new mattress. That's outstanding product support!
IN THE END
Our son, now two, has been on the replacement mattress for the last two years. He was 10lbs when born, so you can imagine what a "big load" he is now. Yet, the mattress has even survived his "trampoline" efforts without nary a dent. So, after 4 years of moderate to heavy use, the mattress has lived up to what we expected and then some. Because of it's reputation and condition, I'm selling it to a co-worker!
