Ok... I will be comparing this to a Razr, even though it is more of a competitor to the Sliver. Since I just got this today, I can't really say how long the battery life is or anything, but when I got it, I put it to charge for a bit, and when I disconnected it, it had 3/3 battery bars, but that depends how charged the battery comes.
I got this phone through Centennial, even though this is supposedly a T-Moblie phone.
The Samsung SGH-T509 is a very slim phone, a tiny bit less then 10 millimeters thick... quite nice and thin, and apparently was the thinnest phone in the USA when released. It is a bit tall, but the Razr is taller when opened.
The screen is very nice and clear, but not quite as big as the one on the Razr.
The keypad has a nice feel to it... the keys seem to stick out more than the Razr. But on mine, you sometimes have to push hard(er) to go left or right on the navigator.
The included software can be very annoying, at least for me, since I came from a Razr. Example: On the Razr, to change to vibrate or silent, you just use the volume buttons to go down. On the Samsung, you go to the menu, then to Settings, then to something else, then you change it.
My final recommendation: If you want a cool, sleek phone, try a Razr.
