The Ryobi is just as powerful if not more than a Black and Decker electric utility drill I have. I was using the Ryobi to screw 3.5-inch screws into solid wood and I got tired before the drill's power supply went down even a notch. The Ryobi was practically "throwing" the scews into the wood. So far I have used it to build a bar, bookshelves and an entertainment center.

I wasn't too sure whether to buy this or a Black and Decker Firestorm package with the saw, sander and drill so I bought both. The Ryobi is worlds better than the Black and Decker and I wish I had just bought the Ryobi.
