The Bottom Line: Even with a few minor glitches i would recommend this recorder because you get alot for your money.

Well i bought this DVD recorder about 6 months ago,now i was just looking for a new dvd player because mine was wore out and i seen this thing and it wasn't much more than the sony dvd player i had planned to buy,so i thought for a few bucks more i can have a dvd recorder.Well after having this recorder for awhile now i feel overall it was a good purchase.The picture with DVDs is excellent,better than some other bigger name brands i have seen.I find the menus very simple to use and the recordings are very good quality.And this recorder also is a upconverting dvd player which i have not tried yet because i have another DVD player for that,but it has it and it came with a HDMI cable which only adds to the value.Now for the bad parts,it does have some glitches,sometimes when your recording and you pause for commercials it will lock up and then you don't get to finish your recording.I also had some trouble sometimes with it not recording the entire program sometimes the ending would get cut off.Now this is not a good thing but it doesn't happen that often.Now some have questioned the quality of this recorder and i have to say i have done alot of recording with this unit and it is still working great,glitches aside.
