Pros: Excellent picture quality. Superb line doubler. Looks great. Screen protector. Wide viewing angle. Auto convergence.
Cons: DVD player uses on screen controls for chapter selection.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, at least consider it. Compares easily with Mitsubishi, Toshiba and Hitachi. Built-in progressive scan DVD player, screen protector, auto convergence and DVI connector make it even better.

| videonut's Full Review: RCA D52W135D 52 in. TV |
This is the way RCA used to make TVs, with an excellent picture. This is by far the best projection set for the money I have seen. I bought it in October 2002 at Circuit City and love it. The line doubler makes S-VHS tapes and satellite TV look great with no visible artifacts. The screen protector is an added bonus. It has 2 rear component inputs (progressive or interlaced), a rear DVI input, 2 rear S/composite video inputs and a front S/composite input. The progressive DVD player works well and the picture is stunning. It plays DVD-Rs and some VCDs. I would like it better if the remote had a chapter skip button, but that's a convenience thing, you have to access it via the on screen menu. The sound from the built-in speaker system is impressive for a TV set, has an equalizer and virtual surround. It has an optical digital output for the DVD player and S/composite video and audio outputs. I use the output to send the picture to other rooms via a modulator, quite handy and the audio also goes to my Pro-Logic receiver along with the optical for Dolby Digital discs. The picture format modes fit most situations well with zoom (with up/down scroll) and stretch modes available. You can still see the picture clearly while sitting off to the side a little, only other sets that allows this that I know of are made by Toshiba. The PIP and POP functions with the 2 tuners (NTSC) are convenient as well. My friend watched one movie on mine and bought one for himself.
