Pros: Multiple ways to input/output from device. Very satisfied with Customer Svc
Cons: Built-in speaker tinny sounding (but with headphones or external speaker is excellent).
The Bottom Line: As someone who was principally looking for a recording MP3 device, I highly recommend it. (Use better grade microphone with amplification than built-in microphone) Regular MP3 functions very good.

My reason for wanting RipFlash was primarily to record my daughter's piano playing and then to upload to computer and burn on CD's. The RipFlash has turned out to be an excellent product for accomplishing this since it records right to MP3 format. Uploading and downloading from RipFlash to computer takes only a few seconds per average song. I've started using RipFlash for converting old LP's to CD and this, too, has worked very well. In addition to these uses, my daughters use it as any typical MP3 player would be used. I am very satisfied with this product due to the many ways it can be used. Although it comes with a built in microphone and speaker, it is best to use a better grade microphone and amplifier for recording high quality sound and likewise, it is better to use headphones or send the sound through a stereo system for playback. The built in speaker is just a nice-to-have way to sample what has been recorded and I'm sure was not intended for listening to any high-fidelity sounds. One last note is that I have not experienced the features of other MP3 players so my review could not tell you if all of the bells and whistles of other players are matched by RipFlash, but I can tell you that it has done what I had hoped it could do and more.
Also, I should mention that I received the product second hand and despite that, Pogo's customer service went above and beyond to help me with a problem I was having.
