Pros: Very comfortable even after hours of having them on my head.
Cons: The volume switch on the headset cable should clip onto your shirt.
The Bottom Line: The DSP-500 is a great headset for gaming and chatting.

| sbellville's Full Review: Plantronics DSP-500 Headset |
I have had this product for over a year now and I love it. I bought this headset to chat with friends as we play our favorite online game. I have used the DSP-500 with Yahoo chat, Team Speak 2 and Ventrilo. The sound quality is unbelievable and I have had no complaints about my voice quality when chatting. Some of my gaming sessions can last hours and by far the DSP-500 is the most comfortable headset I have ever used.
The DSP-500 has its own Digital Signal Processing which is suppose to take the load off your computer. Another advantage of having the DSP is that you do not need a sound card. I have not noticed an increase or decrease in frame rates when using this headset. If you have an onboard sound card I would highly recommend this headset. Even if you have a good sound card the DSP-500 is well worth the price.
I am running Windows XP Home and the DSP-500 is all plug and play, I had no trouble installing and using the headset.
The only thing I would change on this headset is the way the volume control on the cable attaches to your shirt. It is setup like a pen, where there is a metal piece that pins the fabric of your shirt between the clip and the body of the pen. Instead I would like the clip to open, like an alligator mouth, to attach on my shirt anywhere I want it too. Hope all of that made sense.
