The push up remains a very important part of my workout regimen. For a long time I have been using the Gold's Gym Pushup Bars which have really added the edge. So far, I still use them, and are primarily used for resisted push ups (75lbs backpack). I originally looked into the BodyRev Perfect Pushup when it came out. I was uneasy about spending $39.95 on such a system, considering the push up bars I purchased were less than 1/4 of the price. I eventually discovered that the BodyRev Perfect Pushup is readily available at Walgreens and Walmart for $20! At this price point, it was definitely worth a try, and I am happy I did.

*The BodyRev Perfect Pushup is a tool that is supposed to help you with this very popular body weight exercise. Body weight exercises are already very cost efficient since they do not require additional equipment, but if they do, it is generally low-cost. If you were to purchase the BodyRev Perfect Pushup direct from the website, you would be paying $39.95 for it. When compared to cheaper push up bars that cost a fraction of the price, it comes out to being too steep for some.
Nonetheless, if you decide to purchase the BodyRev Perfect Pushup at Walmart for $19.86 or Walgreens for $19.99, you will save a considerable amount of money versus purchasing it online. When the price difference is only around $10 compared to traditional bars, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup becomes well worth it. While both work well, the twisting motion adds a desirable effect by effectively working more muscle groups. So far, I have felt this effect and have been satisfied with my results. Beyond this, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup has excellent build quality. For $20, you can't go wrong with this.
-BUILD QUALITY-
*I remember using the imitation version of this before, what was it, the "Pushup Pro?" Anyway, the imitation product was not exactly the best built product out there, it was plastic all-around. When I bought the real BodyRev Perfect Pushup, I was surprised with the excellent overall build-quality. To begin with, it is made predominantly of high-quality plastic, metal, and has nicely padded grips. The BodyRev Perfect Pushup also have one feature that I love... The bottoms of the bases are made of rubber, so that they will not slip when doing push ups. This makes it considerably safer to use than other push up bars, that have a plastic base, where they would easily slip on a hard surface. I have experienced this with the Gold's Gym Pushup Bars, but fortunately have avoided any potential for injury. Overall, you get what you pay for, or perhaps even more. The BodyRev Perfect Pushup are extremely well-built... You will not be disappointed.
BodyRev also has the travel version of this product, which is a bit more expensive. That would make a great travel companion due to the smaller size. I have not seen it, nor do I have the need to. In terms of your space at home, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup doesn't take up too much space, so it would be perfect whether you have a small apartment or large home.
-EASE OF USE-
*Well before you start using these, you must put them together! The handles snap easily into the base, therefore making the installation easy.
In terms of using the BodyRev Perfect Pushup, it was a dramatic change for doing old fashioned push ups without any bars, or from the cheaper non-rotating bars that I was already using. At first, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup feels very awkward. But after doing a few pushups in a proper matter, you wil lsee the difference. Immediately I started noticing more soreness in my muscles. Therefore, I feel that these do essentially give a competitive edge over generic bars or doing push ups the old fashioned way. You will also notice a lower number of repetitions, that will ultimately show the effectiveness of the product.
It is difficult to gauge entirely how effect the BodyRev Perfect Pushup really is, since I also do a considerable amount of exercise on my Bowflex Power Pro and use my Bowflex SelectTech 1090 dumbbells during every workout. However, I do feel a greater level of msucle fatigue and burn after using the BodyRev Perfect Pushup, which shows that yes, it is effective. If you do not use free weights or machines, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup would make an excellent cost-effective tool for improving the overall efficiency of your body weight workouts.

*The body weight exercises are some of the most cost-effective and efficient ways of getting into shape. Without doubt, the BodyRev Perfect Pushup helps you get there. At a mere $20, it does far more for you than what you pay. At $20, it also isn't dramatically more money than generic non-rotating push up bars. Also, is it worth the $39.95 online? I would say so. I have had pretty good results with it so far, and it has made a great addition to my workout regimen. This tool will also be excellent for those that can not afford a gym, and just want a small effective piece of equipment to help make their exercises more effective.
