First of all I'll get right to the point and say that SSB:M is one of the funnest games I have ever played in my life. Nintendo really know how to innovate and have somehow managed to bring all their big names into a great game that's enjoyable for all ages.
The gameplay in Super Smash is perhaps the deepest I have ever seen in a fighting game. There are literally hundreds of trophies to unlock through an epic battle with each character. Watch as your favourites go crazy and start smashing each other - for no reason! What fun! Who needs a story when you have quality Nintendo innovation just waiting to be played. The button layout couldn't be better, and this game will never get repetitive. Unlock all those trophies!
I suppose there are a few Xbox fanboys out there thinking of getting a GameCube just for this marvelous game, and no doubt the graphics are going to be an important factor in this. SSB:M kicks any fighting game you have ever played. Forget realism and forget perving on those ugly DOA3 characters, just wait until you see Princess Peach in all her glory beating the crap out of Mario. The marvelous 2D backgrounds are some of the best we have ever seen.
Sound is also something this game excels in. I mean, as if Dolby 5.1 means anything if you don't have Mario saying 'Woohoo' everytime he jumps, which never gets annoying at all. In fact, I recently downloaded the new Mario WooHoo MP3 off Kazaa in the hope of adding an extension to my house as a temple to Nintendo, existing peacefully with Mario's brave resound emanating from the sky. Woohoo on loop is the only thing that could give you more woohoo than jumping with Mario in this game.
I've been away from this game for 10 minutes now and already I want to play it again. I love it, and I cannot find a single fault.
