I had originally gotten the "old" GBA SP but my first one broke. Then I broke my second one. Then I got the "new" SP.
The difference on the 2 SPs?
The 2002 model has one level of backlight (on and off) and the battery life is 10 hours on, and 13 hours off.
The 2005 model has TWO levels of backlight (dimmer and brighter) and gets (with my experience of playing a bit, then stopping; the 2002 model I just wrote what battery life THEY say it gets) 15 hours on dimmer and 12/13 hours on brighter. That might change if you play hours for a time (I don't) .
Now, on the 2005 SP the "dim" setting is the same as the "on" setting of the 2002 SP.
Games? Huh. This can play the GB games, the GBC games, and the GBA games. (some people say that there are GBA SP games but it's not true.)
I don't have a Top Ten list but I have a Top One list: Super Mario Brothers 3! (Super Mario Advance 4!) I love that game! http://www.epinions.com/content_290424589956 . The system can play any games made for GameBoy. Now, you are thinking, "What about NDS games?" Well thats just it! The NDS is not a GameBoy!(Now you're probably thinking I'm getting off the subject. Worry none, I'm going back to the subject.)
Anyway, I really like the GBA SP!
