Pros: Smooth and creamy, softens my lips, great color selection
Cons: Could have more staying power
The Bottom Line: Lip Plush is easy to apply, improves lip condition, and has a color for everyone. The lipstick isn't for those who don't want to reapply throughout the day.

| bupkiss's Full Review: Neutrogena Lip Plush Lip Color |
Ahhh, lipstick. It is an essential beauty product for me if I actually wake up in time to put on a full face of makeup before class. I feel naked without it (I know, I know--cliche!) if I have on all the other cosmetic accoutrements, and I probably look really stupid without it too. (Did I just compare makeup to military garb? I'm losing it!)
Surprisingly, after despising Neutrogena's semi-recently launched foundation and face powder, I found that I adore the brand's lipstick formula (mostly satiny and creamy lipsticks that are soothing to the lips and are easy to apply) and color selection (lots of neutral browns, pinkish hues, toned-down reds, warm beiges, and cool roses/violets--something for everyone!). Much to my chagrin, I like Neutrogena's Lip Plush Lip Color the best out of any drugstore lipstick I have ever purchased, and I like it as much as some high-end brands (e.g., Clinique).
I have three Neutrogena Lip Plush Color lipsticks: Nutmeg (great for fall/winter wear), Petal (great for spring/summer), and Merlot (great for a more dramatic evening look). I have found all of these shades to work well with my extremely fair complexion and reddish hair. Some lipsticks tend to be too matte or too shiny, but Neutrogena's are a rather natural looking creamy texture (well, as natural as lipstick can look) and accentuate rather than detract from my other features. My lips look luscious and fuller with this lipstick.
Lip Plush Color also softens my lips (wow, one of the lipstick's claims was to improve the condition of my lips, and it did! I am still in shock over this one.), which is another big plus. My lips tend to get very dry in the winter, but I don't need to apply lip balm if I am wearing Lip Plush.
The lipstick boasts the following extras:
-SPF 20
-Aloe, glycerin, vitamin E, apricot kernel and avocado oils to boost moisture and prevent chapping
-Pro-retinol to improve lips' condition
And on a purely superficial note, Neutrogena's lipstick packaging (an unassuming almost gunmetal colored tube) vaguely resembles one of Clinique's lipsticks and adds a more "luxurious yet functional" feel than the black plastic containers of other brands.
The only downfall is the oils in the lipstick make its staying power relatively short. I don't mind reapplying my lipstick several times throughout the day, but those who hate that should probably avoid Lip Plush.
Lack of staying power aside, I still recommend this lipstick. Check out the Neutrogena display the next time you're at the local Wal*Mart or Target. I think the pursuit of pouty lips is worth eight bucks.
