"there isn’t a product on the market [that I know of] that will allow you to sit on the couch, eat junk food and still lose weight."

When I grow up, I'm going to invent such a product. ;)

Excellent, well rounded review!

It was very good of you to inform people of the REAL truth behind weight loss pills.

I know people are always looking for that miracle pill that will turn them into little Rachel Hunters or really fit Arnold Schwartzeneggers. But that is not the case. I think the pill only gives you energy as some diets may make you fatigued at times. I think that was one of the ideas behind the Phen-Fen pills. They curbed your appetite and gave you a nerve pill, so you wouldn't get grouchy. They said it was to adjust your serotonin somehow, oh well. But this fatigue is usually due to people not eating everything they should. I really think it is the diet that makes the difference. I have noticed in a lot of so-called diet pills that they always come with a diet program. It's the PROGRAM that works and not the pill. A lot of people just don't realize that. Even the Ayds program is just something to curb your appetite because you are eating a little extra before each meal. It would probably work with any caramel candy and a cup of tea.

I love that line about keeping you up all night cleaning. :--) I have been so there. That's probably why my health is like it is. I used to take some of those diet pills with the Phenylpropanolamine in them. I'm on the Weight Watcher's point system now. Hey, maybe I should do a review on that. :--) Ya think? :--)

I think that the real issue with diet pills / weight loss pills is that people don't see immediate results so they up the dosage. This leads to your body being tossed into overdrive, sort of like it's pulling all your bodies energy into a four or five hour time frame - then you crash hard and feel like falling over.

Some manufacturers really use deceptive marketing to say "use this and you won't need to exercise" and if that were the case, everyone would be svelte and stacked.
