Pros: Acts approximately like a puck.
Cons: Heavy and painful.

| penguinman's Full Review: Mylec G-Force Liquid Filled Balls MY103G |
I play roller hockey at school quite a bit, and we have gone through a good number of balls and pucks in a futile attempt to get a nice, ice-like simulation. After a while, we finally realized that it just wasn't going to happen, and we should be happy with the next best thing.
Enter the next best thing.
The Mylec Liquid Filled ball has the best combination of roll, bounce, and rebound. Unlike the Sun Z-Ball, which aims for (and achieves) no bounce and rebound, the Mylec version has a little give to it, allowing for proper rebounds. This comes at the expense of a little bit of bounciness, but otherwise, the ball acts rather close to the way a puck does.
This is all well and good, but my principal complaint about this ball is it's weight. Compared to both the classic Mylec ball and the Z-Ball, it's very heavy. This isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but when one is playing shirts and skins, balls that ordinarily would sting upon contact with skin leave legitimate welts. Playing goalie, shots that slipped between padding that would ordinarily leave welts left rather purplish bruises that didn't go away for some time. Going to parties with a huge black and blue mark on ones arm is hardly a good way to make an impression with the ladies, unless you keep company with goths and corpses.
That complaint aside, it's probably the best ball around.
