solprincess1's Full Review: Murad Acne Complex Starter Kit
I'm 22 and have usually mild but very occasionally moderate acne. It's only on my forehead and chin/mouth area. I used to use proactiv's three step system until I a got 2nd degree sunburn on my face. After I started using proactiv again (about 2 months later) my skin broke out much much worse than ever before!! So, for about 8 months I've been suffering with what seemed to be a pimple or two on my face at all times. Sometimes my blemishes were very painful and inflamed.
Out of desperation, I decided to try the Murad Acne Complex. It's only been about a week now, but I think it's working. For the first 2 or 3 days my skin didn't seem to respond. If anything, the redness and bumps were getting worse. But about 4 days into using my complex kit day and night, my skin seems to be clearing up. It's still too early to tell for sure (and I'll probably update this review later) but I'm happy so far. My skin is smoother and softer now, and the acne spot treatment is GREAT!! I use the 'clarifying cleanser' in the morning and night, followed by the 'exfoliating treatment gel', and then I apply a thin layer of the 'spot treatment' on my entire problem areas. That's my favorite product out of the whole kit. It really seems to shrink my zits fast and if I feel a pimple coming on I can use it to zap the zit before it fully develops. I always follow with the 'skin perfecting lotion'. It's great..
On the downside, the 'treatment gel' and 'spot treatment' burn and itch when used together. It subsides after about 15 minutes, and it's not bad enough for me to really be bothered by it. All in all a good product line!
I really love this product line because of the 'skin perfecting lotion'. It smoothes and softens, and my skin isn't parched like a brown paper bag as it was when I used proactiv.
So, so far so good. I'm hoping that Murad continues to give me back the clear skin I used to have 3 years ago!!
