I Started to get sick at work on Friday , by the end of my shift I had almost lost my voice completely and was feeling really tight in the chest from congestion. I had a unproductive cough and was miserable. All I wanted to do was crawl into bed . By the time I got home from work I had lost my voice completely and was sick to my stomach from all the Mucus.
My husband went to the pharmacy on Saturday and asked the pharmacist what the best thing to get for my symptoms. He grabbed the Mucinex and told my husband that was the thing to take.
I took two pills immediately when he got home. I would rather take pills then drink the horrible tasting syrup they have out there.
By Sunday morning I had my voice back and the mucus seemed to be dried up . I was really surprised it worked as quickly as it did. If I had been as sick as I was on Monday morning I would not have been able to go to work. I talk on the phone all day long and would not have been able to talk with absolutely no voice.
The pills are about the size of excederin tablets. You are supposed to take them with a full glass of water. The active ingredient in them is Guaifenesin which is an expectorant. Inactive ingrediants is Magnesium stetate, maltodextrin, microcystalline cellulose, povidone, silicone dioxide, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid. So if you are allergice to any of the inactive ingrediats you should not take this product.
Uses
Helps loosen phlegm and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive. Relieved the tightness in my chest and dried up the mucus really fast. Amazingly fast.
I really cant say enough about this product. I have thirty tablets and doubt I will ever use all of them before they expire. If you have a tight chest caused from mucus go and get this stuff. It is amazing
