| anastacya's Full Review: Motrin Migraine Pain |
I am one of those young people that are unfortunate (or fortunate, if you are deliriously over-medicated) enough to have some form of arthritis. I will refrain from mentioning what kind I have, but rest assured it is painful enough when it wants to be. All that aside, I have been on a series of pain relievers, OTC and prescription, for about 8 years now. So I have had ample time to try a multitude of pain relievers and finally, FINALLY after all this time, I have found a relatively cheap one THAT WORKS!
What does any of this have to do with migraines you ask? Well, I do get severe headaches, as well. And I have taken every OTC known to man. Ranging from popular to generic, tablet to liquid, and nothing worked. I can remember lying on my mother's couch and crying myself to sleep while something less effective coursed its way through my veins and basically drugged me into a useless stupor.
So, after many years of something similar for a variety of pain episodes, I came to the "Well, I have a coupon and it's on sale" demeanor. It so happened that Motrin had $2 coupons in the Sunday paper when it was first introduced (last year, I believe). At that time, my local Giant Eagle grocery store had a sale for a 20ct bottle for $1.99. Being poor (literally, I used the coupons for the pain pills and my last $5 for milk to take them), I happily took in my two coupons and grabbed my catch. Not very eager at the possibility of something actually working, I didn't really expect much. I went home, in pain, and belatedly took two pills. By this time I was used to my pain, it was there and it hurt, but there was nothing I could do. Then, about 20 minutes later, I realized that my headache was gone! I was able to look around a lit room and not flinch! I think I clicked my heels.
What are the side effects? Honestly, I can only say it works. I really cannot express the multitude of possibilities that exist with any medication. I can only offer the advice to read the label and ask your doctor if you are unsure whether it will interact with anything you are currently taking. I experienced no side effects.
Of course, I would purchase this again! I recommend this product heartily and with full knowledge that it will do the job. I hope that it does the same for you!
