Pros: Love Michael McDonald's voice
Cons: McDonald should have known better than to try to re-interpret the Motown legacy.
The Bottom Line: Total Bummer! What a Disappointment, with a capital D

This album is Fried Liver & Onions...you'll either love it or absolutely hate it! There seems to be no middle ground with any of my friends or any other on-line reviews I have read. I am a huge Michael McDonald fan and was extremely disappointed with it. There are only 2 tracks that I would want to hear again so I'm going to rip those to my hard drive and sell this damned carcass on ebay for what ever I can get for it. The hook of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" that you hear on TV gets a brief recital of 2:49 duration, while all the other songs (except one) drag on and on and on and on for an average of just under 5 minutes each! Whether you end up loving it or hating it, be forewarned: If you don't listen to this album in a store like Borders or Barnes & Noble before you buy it, you risk wasting almost $20 for taking it home with you. There are no lukewarm reactions to this effort. Some folks love Ford and others love Chevy. I wouldn't buy either one of them without a test drive, and the same thing goes for this CD. At the risk of becoming boorish - "Buyer Beware"!!
