Are you looking for the BEST holiday gift around?? The PERFECT gift for your darling little daughter?? Well, this Barbie certainly takes the cake... It's the stuff that dreams are made of!
My personal disclaimer
Okay, before I go too far, I should probably tell you that I love Barbies! I have fond memories of playing with them as a child, and I can't help lingering in the doll aisles of the store... So, you'll have to take that into account as you read my raving review of this product (smiles!).
How we came to own this item
I really think that this will be one of those MUST-HAVE items for this coming holiday season. Of course, I splurged a little early and purchased it for my daughter's autumn birthday, so I had a chance to see what's really like!
Dazzling My Daughter
Opening the package was a dream come true for my daughter! As she pulled the gift wrap away from the package, her eyes lit up brilliantly! She eagerly pulled away the rest of the gift wrap and literally squealed! This was certainly the belle of the ball.
Who could blame her, of course? Rapunzel Barbie is certainly dazzling in her spectacular pink gown. Layer upon layer of her gown add an air of elegance. Delicately adorned with some type of glittering gold lace, she assumes an air of royalty even before she's out of the package. Her long golden locks are almost too soft to touch... and the musical comb just adds that special magic to the gift.
Her long, golden tresses....
Of course, the main point of the Rapunzel Barbie is her long, beautiful golden tresses.... and yes, this is the stuff of dreams! Her long hair is as soft as silk, and a gorgeous golden color. And, of course, it reaches far to the floor... and your darling girl will want to grow her hair just as long!!! (Plus, it comes with a velcro hair extension just for fun---and a musical brush!).
Other details...
Like all other Barbie products, this princess is packaged beautifully, and you almost don't even want to touch it. There's a beautiful background that makes the perfect setting for your princess doll, and the darling accessories make it all the better. You'll also find 6 beautiful hair clips (to make playing hairdresser all the more fun), beautiful pink shoes and a velcro hair extension.
The "classic-ness"
An added bonus is that Rapunzel is the latest in a new series! Mattel has created a great new series based on classic characters. This gave us an opening to reading the real story--but you'll have to make that decision yourself.
The "Other Stuff"
Of course, the one disadvantage is that "you just can't have one!". Once you've seen this wonderful new doll, you'll want to go out and buy her companion... and her horse... and her gown and cape... etc. This could easily lead to an empty bank account!
You'll love it!
Of course, my personal unbiased review --- just kidding, really!--is that this a great gift for any little girl. (Or grown ups will love it, too!). Have a great time!
