Mary Kay is one of my favorite skin care lines. Their products have rarely let me down, and I usually have very good success. This is just another successful product from the Mary Kay line that I can highly recommend.
A few months ago I went to a Mary Kay party. Now I've been using their products off and on for years, but usually just their 'regular' products - cleansers, moisturizers, etc. The consultant went through the normal Mary Kay product usage and selling part, then wanted us to try their Satin Lips Lip Mask. I found this to be a very unique product, but also one that I probably would not have ventured to purchase without trying first. So, I'm glad the consultant introduced us to it. Satin Lips Lip Mask is just another of their products that won me over and I had to buy. I am very glad I did!!
Mary Kay Satin Lips Mask comes in a small tube (less than 2 inches long) with .45 ounces of product inside. It doesn't sound like very much, but believe me, it lasts a long time. To get the product out, you simply squeeze the tube gently, and the product comes out of a very narrow applicator-type opening. This narrow opening helps ensure you don't use too much product - wouldn't want to waste it since a little goes a long way!
Satin Lips Lip Mask should be applied in a circular motion to your lips and the immediate skin area around your lips. The product itself is a creamy white, almost pink, with just a bit of a gritty feel due to the buffing beads. This is to be expected since it is an exfoliator. It has a very pleasant scent, reminding me of bubble gum or cotton candy at first 'whiff'. After you gently rub the product in, it dries a bit on your lips, proving that it is also an effective mask. You only have to leave it on for a minute or two. Then, you simply wipe it off with a damp wash cloth. I use this product at night or in the morning as part of my normal skin care routine and usually follow it with Triple Action Lip Enhancer.
I really like this product!! The skin on and around my lips have a tendency to get dry and chapped - I feel like I'm constantly having to put chap stick on, especially during the winter. But, using Satin Lips Lip Mask has helped immensely! My lips are smoother, my natural lip color is more even, and my lipstick stays on longer (that's always been a problem for me!!). And, I have had no problems with the product irritating my sensitive skin. This one tube of product has lasted me several months, using two to three times per week.
My final recommendation: Buy this product! Your lips will thank you, and your hubby will, too!!
