| misspunkin's Full Review: Leap Frog My First LeapPad |
I couldn't wait to get my 2 1/2 year old son a LeapPad, so I was thrilled when I saw that they make this special one for young beginners.
At first the My First LeapPad made my son very frustrated and upset. It took some work to get him to realize that he has to touch the green "Go" button after flipping each page. But once I backed off and let him explore the LeapPad on his own (and in his own time) he really got a hang of it.
Just today I came in the room and found him repeating the letters of the alphabet after the My First LeapPad.
The system as a whole is wonderful. There are so many options and fun learning games. The books are interesting and suitable for a younger child, but some of the games are a little advanced for kids closer to the 3 year old age-range.
We bought this LeapPad to take on vacation with us to keep our son occupied in the back seat.
