Waited three months on back order to get this fridge, which is quite a looker, even paid more for the "titanium" finish. then opened the box, plugged it in according to directions, and it never got cold. took three weeks to get LG service to come to my house and tell me it was "unrepairable." Something about a leak in the coolant system. That was two weeks ago and the fridge is still taking up space in my tiny new york apt. there are no replacements so LG has to "buy back" the fridge from me. someday, they say, i'll get my money back, and they'll dispose of the dud for me, but no compensation for all the time on the phone dealing with unsympathetic and unresponsive LG service. I had to fax my receipt and the service report twice to two numbers before they were satisfied.
luckily i hadn't ditched the old, ugly fridge, which sits plugged in in the living room waiting to take its old space in the kitchen. moral of the story: don't buy a fridge for looks if the old one is working fine. And don't buy this one, not that you could even find one.
