Susie-34668's Full Review: Kodak EasyShare C533 Digital Camera
On August 11/12th of this year I went to England and my luggage went missing. This was when red/critical alert was on so everything had to go into my checked luggage. That is how we lost our two cameras. I went out and bought necessities when in England, but only bought and used 2 of the Kodak throw away cameras.
Two days after I came home, and was told that it could take weeks/months to find my case or get compensation, Len needed a camera. He just couldn't wait so we went to all the big stores, Best Buys, Circuit City, and Office Depot. We chose the Kodak EasyShare C533.
These newer cameras are much more compact that older models. I believe Len's last one was bought at the end of 2004. However, the style is improved, and they have a bigger LCD screen.
All cameras are very similar with the dial on the top giving the mode style. I use the auto for taking photographs and the video, which is self-explanatory. The top of the camera has the flash button and self-timer/burst button. Then on the front the self-timer/video light, flash, viewfinder, microphone, and lens. On the side is the DC - In (3V) for optional AC adapter.
Turning the camera to the back is the LCD screen, the viewfinder, ready light, share button, wide angle button, telephone button, delete button, LCD/Info button, menu button, review button, OK button, forward, back, up, and down buttons. On the side is the battery compartment, strap post, slot for optional SD or MMC card, and USB, A/V out. Along the bottom are the dock connector and tripod socket. I have just listed these for the technical readers.
I just wanted a camera where I could put a memory card in, switch it on and shoot. This is what we got. Len is happy that it takes 2 AA rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries. With all of our older cameras it has cost us around $10 each time we have had to replace a battery. We always keep rechargeable batteries in the house. Well, of course I lost them too in my luggage so we went out and purchased more.
Our last digital camera had so many icons on the mode button and we didn't use them. This one is very basic it has 5. Auto for taking everyday photographs. Landscape for far-away scenes. Close-up. Scene, which is for special conditions. Video that is a must for me. This is what I missed so much in England with our digital camera being lost.
I used the Kodak C533 camera all week in the Kissimmee/Orlando area. Sometimes it was difficult to see through the LCD screen to take a photograph. That is the case though with most digital cameras. I just used the viewfinder.
The photographs have come out really clear and crisp. We do not have the Kodak dock and print them out on our H.P. printer.
Then my next time was at another of our timeshares at Treasure Island beach. I have to say that Len took some of the best sunsets I have ever seen with this camera. He put them on another site and people were asking to use them as screen savers and also asking to print them out and frame them. I am putting one of these as my photograph on my profile page for you all to see.
I have the user's guide in front of me with 61 pages of information about this camera. If you want to know any details about the following just leave a comment or email me and I will be happy to add them to the review. I just don't want to bore every one.

I use the camera. Len pops the memory card into his computer and does the rest. He then sends the photographs and video to my computer. He also puts them on DVD's so we can send them to my family in England.
We are both extremely happy with this camera which cost just $149.99.
Susie.
I just tried to change my photograph and can't seem to find a way of doing it. Can anyone help please?
