| cc2kit's Full Review: Ker Plunk |
I personally think that ker Plunk is a great game. What this game is is a clear plastic tube with holes poked at the top. You take plastic sticks and you stick them through the holes. There are alot of sticks to put through the holes and it may take a while. That is where the time factor comes into play. After you set up the sticks you pour a bunch of marbles into the tube so they rest on the sticks. You play the game by pulling the sticks out of the tube. the one with the least amount of marbles in there tray at the end wins.
When it is each players turn you move a little switch so that the fallen marbles will go into your dish, not a good thing. The object of this game is to have the least marbles in your dish at the end of the game.
Ker Plunk is a strategy game and i guess its a little luck to. You have to carefully plan to pick out the stick that will cause the least amount of movement.
People dont like this game because of the time it takes to set up vs. the time that you get to play for. That personally dosnt bother me. I dont think that it takes that long to set up. Even if it does take a long time to set up, its still a good game. Even kids are good at this game. A kid could take an adult any day of the week in this game.
I like to compair this game to a real clasic game, Jinga. Jinga takes a while to set up also. But I think that Ker Plunk is faster to set up. Jinga is not a game for young kids because you need steady hands and a bigger strategy to get the blocks all the way up. In ker plunk you just pull a stick out of a hole. you dont have to be careful to place it back up top.
Over all Ker Plunk is a great game despite the set up time.
