Pros: ?
Cons: make hair go flat, didn't stop some frizzing, minimal added shine
The Bottom Line: I have found some good products to make my curls look their best. This is not one of them.

| jessicamc4's Full Review: John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls |
I have thick, curly hair that is a little past my shoulders and layered. I love my CHI but it is killing my hair. I must take at least 2 months of not straightening my hair to get it back into shape. Since I decided to resist my flat iron, I figured I better learn to make the most of my natural curls.
About the Product
Dream Curls is packaged in a 6.7 oz tall and narrow spray bottle. The cap is clear and covers the whole top of the bottle, not just the sprayer part like most spray bottles.
Claims from back of bottle:
"Breakthrough curl perfecter transforms wilted waves and curls...just spray and scrunch for the curls of your dreams...sexy, highly-defined swirls and curls that are soft and silky, never "crispy". Innovative magnesium-enriched formula penetrates hair to restore elasticity and spring, boosting and enhancing your natural curl pattern. Special conditioning and glossing agents help leave hair frizz-free and glistening with healthy-looking shine. Non-greasy, non-sticky, alcohol-free formula."
My Experience
This product made a lot of good claims, and I was hoping that I had found a great product to help out my curls during my flat-iron boycotting period.
I tried this product first on damp hair. I sprayed it through out my hair and scrunched a little with my fingers. If I wait too long to scrunch my hair, it will turn frizzy. I have to scrunch while it is still damp. My hair does not take much scrunching to be curly.
But this spray was worthless. Not only did it not give the promised shine, my hair looked really flat and still had some frizz on the top layers. Even my mom said my hair did not look as good as it usually did.
I think this weighed my hair down, which is really amazing because my hair is so thick that it takes a lot for it to be flat. My usual spirals looked like limp waves. I didn't even try it on dry hair. There are very few products that work better on me when my hair is dry than when my hair is wet or damp, so this is probably no exception.
UPDATE! 9/10-Today I sprayed it on dry hair to see if it would revive my day-old curls without having to wet my hair or use another product. YUCK! It just seemed to create more frizz and made my hair kind of dull.
This product MIGHT work better for those girls who have very tight curls and want to loosen them into waves. I personally can't live without lots of volume in my hair. (or "big hair").
Final Thoughts
I love Frizz-Ease products and have had great luck with most of them. I will not purchase Dream Curls again. I will never use my almost full bottle of Dream Curls again. This stuff was pitiful. At least it only cost about 4 dollars. If you must, you can buy this at Wal-Mart, Target, or drugstores.
