Pros: It goes with Thomas the Tank Engine.
Cons: not sturdy enough, too easily knocked over
The Bottom Line: Any of the other bridges are a much better value and will hold interest much longer than the Suspension Bridge.

| jenni796's Full Review: Intermediate Suspension Bridge Set |
My son who is now 4, fell in love with the wooden railways and Thomas the Tank trains about 2 years ago. He has collected most of the Brio and Learning Curve sets and loves every one of them.
I had taken a break over the past couple months on writing my Epinions because I do accounting and the tax season was in full swing. Now I have returned to write some long overdue Epinions on the Wooden Railway sets.
This particular set is the Intermediate Suspension Bridge which comes with a wooden suspension bridge, tracks, and blocks to hold the bridge up. I don't remember exactly how many pieces were in this set because all of the track in all Brio and Learning Curve sets are interchangeable. Once the box has been opened, they go right in with the rest of his hundreds of pieces of track.
The bridge itself is wood and about 12". It has bright red plastic top. It looks very attractive once it is set up. I don't find the suspension bridge very good for small toddlers because it is held up by a block (about 2 1/2 square inches) at each end and it tips over easily as little hands try to push the train through the bridge. It comes with 2 pieces of assanding track to connect the bridge to the ground level track.
My son quickly lost interest in this bridge because it falls over so easily. It can be frustrating for little ones since they spend so much time setting it all up and then it all comes crashing down. Even now that he is bigger, he still finds it hard to push the trains thru without knocking the whole bridge over.
The durability of the actual Suspension Bridge set is great but they should improve on the stability of the bridge once it is assembled with the track.
I can't highly recommend this product because the instability takes the fun out of playing with it and it doesn't hold interest like the other Railway sets.
