No Doubt, a smooth Stout!

Pros: Smooth, tasteful, yet clearly a heavier beer

Thus far I've only tried Goose Island's Stout, and will keep this opinion to same: The stout I tried this week-end was delightfully refreshing, and, while nothing is a Guinness, this tasted grrreat!

Personally, I like stouts, but from time to time prefer a little bit lighter beer than Guinness, and this does the trick. A smooth taste, with a bit hint of sweetness, makes this a good choice for an after dinner brew.


I have seen Goose Island in the local stores from time to time, and finally picked up a six pack. I think I'll head back for another 6 or 12 of the oatmeal stout, and perhaps another 6 of a different flavor.


I have yet to visit the brewery (and will definitely do so on my next trip to Chicago).
