| liquidstars's Full Review: Gerber Diaper Service Diapers |
I just recently became highly interested in diapering my daughter in cloth diapers. I didn't want to splurge lots of money on expensive cloth diapers on the internet until I found out if I'd like using them. So, since they are basically the only type of cloth you can find in a regular store, I bought these as a try out diaper.
These are great at absorbing lots of wetness and are very thick and soft, but I really hated the way they were bulky and huge on my daughter, and I didn't like pinning, so I had the Gerber EZ wrap things to go along with them. These do not make good night diapers unless your baby happens to stay dry at night. I noticed that my daughter would scream as soon as she was wet though in these, so they didn't really keep the wet away from her skin.
If you hate prefolds and hate the folding and pinning and wrapping, etc, these aren't the type of cloth diapers to get, but if you're just starting off with cloth and want a test without buying the fancy ones on the internet, these are a great start, just make sure you have some liners or something for night time.
I didn't like these because I guess I am just to impatient and lazy to fool with prefolds period. I hated the thought of sticking me or my daughter with pins and the wraps were great but made it all even bulkier.
These are good if you have a thinner baby with thinner legs I guess, my daughter has chunky legs and that's why the bulk was so bad.
