Pros: Customer service, good local coverage
Cons: Disconnect between corporate office and in-store associates regarding policies
The Bottom Line: I would recommend them. You'll get better customer support than with the other cell phone companies, and they REALLY take care of loyal customers.

| mpmz6c's Full Review: General Reviews of US Cellular Customer Service |
My family has been US Cellular customers for 10 years, and have never really had a problem with it. A few weeks ago, my phone started to malfunction and I took it to the store to see if they could help. The associate told me that I would have to take it to a different store location (with specialized tech people), but since I didn't have time that day he told me I could wait a couple of weeks. I went in a couple of weeks later when I had the time, and apparently in that grace period, the manufacturer's warranty on my phone had expired, even though the associate never mentioned this to me when I spoke with them the first time. Now I would have to pay for a new phone, or pay $100+ to have it repaired. None of the associates had too much sympathy for me. So I looked up the email for a top corporate customer service guy to complain, and emailed him. The corporate office guy called me within 24 hours, and now a have a new phone on it's way in the mail. They have good customer service, and they pride themselves on it, but (as with any large company) you might have to jump through a few hoops to get exactly what you want.
