Pros: Vegetarian formula; pretty much every thing you need in one pill
Cons: The pill is huge and can be difficult to swallow
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vitamin for a vegetarian. Otherwise, I would probably suggest a multivitamin without iron.

| Stephy's Full Review: Gnc Multi Ultra Mega Tablets |
I have been taking this vitamin consistently for about 2 years now. (I decided that I wanted to be healthier so I joined a gym and started taking vitamins - I've stuck with both.)
One of the big advantages to any multivitamin is that it is a quick convenient way to gain many of the vitamins and minerals that may be lacking in your diet. If you eat a balanced diet (according to the food pyramid), you probably don't need a multivitamin but if you are like the majority of people, you are lacking in some essential nutrients. At which point, you have to decide whether it is better to take a multivitamin or take the individual supplements that you need.
I decided to take a multivitamin because of the simplicity. I find it much easier to take one pill every day than to take 5 or 10 different pills. (The GNC Multi Ultra Mega multivitamin should be taken once a day with food.) I had chosen this specific multivitamin because it is vegetarian. (The majority of multivitamin use gelatin to bind the ingredients together and gelatin is a major no in my diet.)
The GNC Multi Ultra Mega multivitamin supplies 35 ingredients with emphasis on antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to supplement a healthy diet and active lifestyle. (according to the packaging) These ingredients include (The % of Recommended Daily Values is in italics):
Vitamin A 200%
Vitamin C 333%
Vitamin D 100%
Vitamin E 333%
Thiamin 5000%
Riboflavin 4412%
Niacin 375%
Vitamin B-6 3750%
Folic Acid 100%
Vitamin B12 1250%
Biotin 25%
Pantothenic Acid 750%
Calcium 10%
Iron 100%
Iodine 100%
Zinc 100%
Selenium 14%
Copper 12500%
Manganese 300%
Chromium 8%
Potassium 0%
Other minerals (that do not have a recommended daily allowance): Boron, Silica, Choline, Inositol, para-Aminobenzoic Acid, Trimethylglycine, Rutin Powder, Citrus Bioflavonoids Complex, Hesperidin Complex, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, alpha-Lipoic Acid, Green Tea Leaves Extract (Camellia sinensis)
Other Ingredients: Cellulose, Food Glaze, Papain, Parsley Herb Powder, Whole Brown Rice Powder, Lecithin Powder, Alfalfa Powder, Rose Hips Powder, Watercress, Soy Protein
Although, I wish it contained more calcium and less iron. As a vegetarian, I believe that calcium is what lacks from my diet the most so I need more than just the 10% available from this vitamin. While many vegetarians are also lacking in iron, more and more foods seem to be fortified with iron so I worry about overdosing. (While overdoing the recommended amount for most vitamins/minerals is ok, overdosing on iron is extremely bad and could be fatal (although it's rare and you would have to really overdo it.))
Overall, it's a vitamin and not a miracle pill. So I have not really noticed any amazing results although I think I have gotten less colds.
Costs
There are 3 different sized bottles: 60 pills ($12), 90 pills ($17) and 180 pills ($30). As long as you take the vitamins fairly regularly, you should finish the bottle before they expire. They are only available at GNC stores or from GNC's website.
A nice thing about GNC is that they have a satisfaction guarantee in which you can return the unused portion of the product to the store and they will give you a complete refund if you are unsatisfied.
WARNINGS
The pill is huge (about 3/4 inch long) so if you have trouble swallowing pills, this is not the right vitamin for you. Personally, I usually find that I need to drink about 1/4 to 1/2 a glass of OJ before I am able to swallow this vitamin.
It has soy proteins so if you are allergic to soy, you do not want to take this vitamin.
Also this vitamin tends to turn your urine fluorescent yellow (even if you drink at least 8 glass of water a day.)
