Pros: large capacity, stainless steel drum, preset wash cycles with overrides, 2 year warranty
Cons: even though stability is good there is a slight rocking motion during spin cycle
The Bottom Line: Recommend purchasing because warranty is the best in the market for this type of appliance

| midge314's Full Review: Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart GWL15 Top Load Washer |
I had to replace my 8 year old machine a month ago because the drum braking system was worn out. This washer is better than average and is top loading which saves hurting the back that is possible with the currently advertised, top of the line front loaders being sold today. Clothes are well cleaned and the larger capacity of 3.7 cubic inches over the standard 3.2 allows more clothes to be washed in a cycle leading to fewer loads washed during the week. Selectable washing cycles which automatically sets options for the full wash cycle make doing laundry a breeze with no decisions to make. But it also gives the option to override certain presets of the specific cycle which is also good in case the washing program does not quite fit your needs. What I like most about setting the cycle is the ability to override the spin speed associated with the specific clothing type selected. It is my understanding that there are fewer parts that could fail which indicates cheaper future repair costs if needed . The best thing I have found, which the ladies will understand and appreciate, is certain articles of clothing no longer get tied up in knots. I couldn't be happier and am very pleased with this machine.
