My wife and I bought a feeding table and conversion crib in 1980. The table was about $300 back then and the crib $550. Both went through a family of five. The crib was given to my sister who now uses it as a small kids bed for her son Noah who's in kindergarten. The conversion crib changes to a kids bed and back to a crib every time my wife and I had another little one. We didn't buy any baby seats, walkers, highchairs or booster seats because the feeding table's seat could be changed to fit all of our different sized kids. From babies to 3 years old our kids spent a lot of time sitting and playing in that old table, so it wasn't used just for feeding. When our kids couldn't sit in the table anymore, about age 3, there was an extra tray top that we would put over the tray which made a full table top surface and then our kids would use the Babee Tenda like a play table. The Babee Tenda table we kept until our kids stopped using it as a play table.
The things I liked best about the table is none of our kids were able to get out of it. My boys could get out of any baby furniture except the Babee Tenda. Other things I like about the table are:
It's not to big 24in. by 24in.
Adjustable in height
Adjustable seat
Scratch proof tray and sides
Tubular adjustable legs
Folds up easy for going places
Removable cushion hand wash only because I ruined the first one in the washer
Machine washable cushion cover extra but keeps me out of trouble
Large tray area with outer lip to keep toys on tray
Escape proof seat belt and straps
Adjustable foot rest
Can be used for babies and big kids
Made out of real solid wood not that partical board stuff
The reason I am so excited right now is because I just sold our old table at the church sale for $250. I was happy and the woman said they now cost new $500 so she was happy to. That old table still looked new even after 5 kids except for the old cushion, rubber side guards, and the foot rest. I called Babee Tenda and those things cost $30 total and will work right on my old table or her table now.
My wife keeps telling me I should have never sold it since we will probably become grandparents in a handful of years. My kids are so independent I'm sure they will want to buy their own table and pick out their own colors like we did back in 1980. Babee Tenda has been a good part of our family.
