I am not a person that buys a lot of perfume. I have a couple of scents that I like, but they are very light, and one bottle of anything usually lasts at least a year with me. I also never would have imagined that I would ever buy Britney Spears perfume Fantasy. I almost couldn’t believe it myself when I realized that I was going to purchase this fragrance. What made me do this? A sample, yes a sample made me do it. I was out shopping with a friend at the mall when we walked in to Macy’s. We were browsing in the cosmetic area and a lady that worked there handed my friend and I both a sample of Fantasy. I tucked it in my purse and kind of forgot about it. A couple of days later I pulled it out and gave it a try, and I found that I actually liked it. This is strange, because most of the perfumes that I smell I really don’t like, I tried the perfume on my wrist, and I liked the way it smelled on me as well.
The Price
The next time I was at the mall I thought I would go and find out how much it was. I was not all that pleased with the $45.00 price for the 3.3 oz EAU DE PARFUM SPRAY. I didn't want to spend that much but there was a promotion where you got something for buying something so I went ahead and made the investment. A few days later I saw a gift package at my local drugstore that contained some Fantasy items for just $26.99. That was a bit disappointing, but the items were really small. I also found out I could have got that size on line for $39.00. There is also a 1 oz. size for around $24.00, and a 1.7 oz size for about $31.00.
Packaging
The bottle is hot pink and round in shape and it looks like it has jewels (emeralds) cleverly placed on it. The lid is also circular and a slightly lighter pink and is translucent, and it just has a really pretty over all effect.
Even the box that it comes in is really pretty. It comes in a psychedelic box, with a big hot pink triangle on it. You could certainly give this as a gift in the box that it is in, without wrapping it further.
The Fragrance
The fragrance is fruity and very sweet. It reminds me of a cake with strawberry icing. It is kind of scary because it actually kind of makes want to have a piece of cake with strawberry icing when I smell it. This could be really dangerous for me wearing this may send me in to fits of baking followed by binge cake eating. LOL
The Eau De Parfum.Contains: Lychee, Quince, Kiwi, Cupcake Accord, Jasmine Petals, White Chocolate Orchid, Musk, Orris Root, Woods.
The fragrance really lasts. I can still faintly smell it several hours after I put it on.
Final Thoughts
This fragrance can be a little expensive but there are different sizes and price options. It does come in the small 1 oz size and that is only $24.00 which isn’t too bad, also check your local drug store you might be able to find an even better price.
Fantasy has a wonderful scent. Even my husband loves it on me.
I really like the perfume, and I really like the bottle, I think it is just adorable, really sweet, and very feminine.
I have not added a new perfume to my short list of fragrances that I like in a very long time, but I have found that I really, really like this one. It is subtle and sweet and light, and smells kind of yummy to me.
