Evenflo is a winner this time! Choosing the right high chair is essential in running a child care for infants and young toddlers. When I went shopping to find the 'perfect' highchair, I had a lot of things to consider. The Evenflo Phases Playtop Multi-Use Highchair was the high chair that caught my eye-the diamond in the rough, if you will. It was a little more expensive than others, but well worth the price.
Aesthetically Pleasing:
I like everything in my child care to look nice. I want my high chairs to be of no exception. This high chair looked kid friendly. The design and colors of this highchair are wonderful! Lavender, blue, and a nice shade of green compliment the look of the chair. For those concerned about ‘blue’ and ‘pink’ can rest assured this highchair is appropriate for both boys and girls. The pattern on the seat of the chair drew me even closer to this high chair. It is cute and complete with balloons of corresponding colors to the chair. It looks so inviting to children as well.
Safe:
This chair has an extremely sturdy base. I have heard others say this chair has tipped. This has not happened even once in the three years that I have owned it. If you have read some of my other articles, you know about my 'fun' 3 year old that would quite enjoy tipping the chair over. However, when pushed, the chair simply glides across the floor. The sturdy base of the chair is more than an asset, it is a necessity.
The strap of this chair is great. Unlike many other chairs, this high chair has an attachment that goes in front of the child and attaches at the sides. I believe a 3 point restraint system is great. It prevents the adventurous child from harming themselves by slipping out of the chair.
Easy to Clean:
This was an EXTREMELY important factor in choosing a high chair for me. Because I have young toddlers, who are just learning how to eat on their own in and out of the chair numerous times throughout the day, I need a chair that is easy to clean. Cleaning is not how I want to, or can spend the majority of my day. This chair is very easily surface washable. It is made out of plastic and vinyl and is very easily just wiped down with a wet cloth.
Grow With Your Child:
The chair doubles as it may be put in the form of a chair and table for the growing years. That alone, makes his high chair worth the cost. Your child is able to use it for years! I may never get to use it in this form since I always have young toddlers, but it is a nice plus!
Huge Tray:
The tray top is huge, which is great- it gives my kids room to explore their food (which they do!) The sides of the tray top are like high barriers keeping the food on the tray. Of course, this doesn’t work for the ‘throwing’ child. However, having the high sides prevents the accidental spills on the floor. The tray locks on to the high chair pretty easily. There are three positions for the tray to lock in working for children of various sizes.

I had to think hard to come up with a con for this one- the chair is so great!
No Kind Of Space Saver:
You should be aware, if considering purchasing this high chair that it is big. It will take up a lot of space wherever you choose to have it.

I hope that this has helped you learn a little bit about this high chair. Have fun with your young children...they grow all to fast! You will see them go from too small for this chair, to using it, to making it the table and chair to outgrowing that all too fast! Whatever high chair you choose to purchase, I wish you well!
