This is our 2nd bagless vacuum and it's the best so far. Granted, it was pricey, but after a week of using it, I was wishing I had bought it when it first came out. I've had my Dyson now about 6 months and it's still as good as when I first bought it.
I do wish the wand was a bit easier to assemble, but I love that it has an extended reach. I have 13 steps going upstairs and in the past, I was lugging a vacuum up the steps to vacuum with a wand. Now with the Dyson, it sits at the bottom and I can go all the way up without lugging it with me.
The only problem I have found with it is kitty litter. My daughter's cat likes to jump out OVER the rug to catch litter and then scatter the litter stuck in his paws on the carpet. It tends to throw the litter back on you when you vacuum it up. It will vacuum it up, but it takes several passes to get it all. Now if maybe she would vacuum daily, it wouldn't do that, but when she waits until 3-4 days of accumulated litter is on the carpet, it vacuums some and spits some back at her.
