Pros: Decent food for a theme park.
Cons: A longer wait than I thought necessary.
The Bottom Line: I thought Doc Brown's was a good choice if you feel like decent fried chicken in a theme park.

While we were at Universal Studios in Los Angeles we had lunch at Doc Browns Chicken.
The front of this larger than the usual stand is cute with an awning on top of which states "The finest chicken of all time."
We entered through the back side where there was a corral for long waits. On this day in December there was a five minute wait. We were entertained looking at the pictures that lined the walls. Each one had a picture of Doc Brown and somewhere in the picture was a piece of chicken. In one he was standing next to someone in an astronaut suit holding a chicken log.
This restaurant is, one of the oldest buildings in the theme park and situated on the edge of Back to the Future plaza. It is named in honor of Dr Emmet Brown, who was featured in the "Back to the Future" movies.
The offerings here include the best buy for $7.99 which comes with 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, Cole slaw and a biscuit; a three piece chicken basket with fries for $6.99 or for the same price a basket of chicken tenders. For $7.99 you can get a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes, fries and Cole slaw.
Served are Bud for $7.99 in a 24-ounce collectible cup and Corona for $7.99. Note that there is a one-drink maximum.
Doc Browns as most if not all the restaurants and stands in this park serve Starbucks coffee. You can get soda or a souvenir cup for $7.99 with 32-ounce refills for $.99. We did the latter every time we went to an amusement park with the kids when they were little. I highly recommend it unless they dont drink soda.
When it was our turn we ordered and though this is not all enclosed it has walls and a roof. My husband stood in the lobby area while I scoped out a table. The tables were full to the left of the restaurant if you are facing it. You want to go to the right where there were many clean empty tables.
We waited a bit longer than I would expect. I would guess we waited at least 15 minutes for our order to be ready.
We split the three piece basket and the chicken sandwich. I only like white meat so I had the breast which was actually surprisingly quite tasty. It wasnt overly fried or greasy. The meat was tender. The fries were a bit wilted but at least they werent cold like they could easily have been.
The grilled chicken also was good. It wasnt rubbery or tasteless. The lettuce and tomatoes seemed fresh and the bun was soft. The Cole slaw was good as well though it had a little too much mayonnaise and vinegar for me to have loved it.
All in all for a theme park stand the food was good above average compared to other stands.
