Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Little Einsteins is an animated show geared towards preschoolers. It is part of the Playhouse Disney line up. The show teaches kids about music and art, as the characters go on missions in their rocket ship. It is a fun show for kids that enjoy music, as well as being a good show to introduce kids to different classical music/musicians. The show encourages viewers to interact with the show, such as counting with them and patting to the beat to make the rocket ship go. The animation is not the best compared to other shows that currently air along side this show on Playhouse Disney, but it makes up for it with being one of the more educational shows. This DVD contains three episodes of the show.
The first episode is called "The Legend of the Golden Pyramid." The featured tune for this show is by Johannes Brahms. In this episode the Little Einsteins go on an adventure to Egypt that involves their mission being to find the Golden Pyramid and opening it up to release the music the king (i.e. pharaoh, but they call it the king) locked inside.
The second episode is called "Dragon Kite." The featured tune for this episode is by Edvard Grieg. In this episode the Little Einsteins end up in China trying to get the dragon kites back to the kite festival at the Great Wall. This includes them finding one of the dragon kites at the Forbidden City. This episode focuses a lot on high and low sounds. For example, the notes get higher as they climb the steps of the Forbidden City.
The third episode is called "Annie and the Little Toy Plane." The featured tune for this episode is by Wolfgang Amadeau Mozart. This episode features the Little Einsteins in San Francisco helping a Purple Toy Plane rescue a green helicopter stuck in a giant redwood.
This DVD has only one special feature, but at least it is not a music video, which seems to be the only thing most preschool DVDs have as a the special feature. The special feature is a game called Little Einsteins Storybook Mission: Where's Froggy's Family? This game is a real interactive storybook in which at certain points you are asked to maneuver the pointer to choose things to help in the mission of returning the frog to his family. It may not be the most exciting game, however, for a DVD game it is pretty good and is something preschool fans of Little Einsteins will enjoy playing through at least once.
